Which length is right?

The stem length determines two things: how much the vapor cools on its way upward and how easy the device remains to handle. In short: the longer the stem, the cooler the draw – but the device is also slightly bulkier.

  • 50 mm – the compact choice. A more direct draw, discreet on the go, and takes up the least space.
  • 70 mm – the middle ground between cooling and portability, the right compromise for most users.
  • 90 mm – the longest cooling path for the smoothest draw, especially at high temperature settings.

Longer also means: more room for glass beads

A connection many people only discover later: Because the filter screen in the stem is height-adjustable, you can add extra glass beads. They increase the surface area where the vapor cools, making the draw noticeably smoother.

How many fit depends directly on the selected length: around 70 beads in the 50 mm stem, about 100 in the 70 mm stem, and up to 150 in the 90 mm stem. So if you want to use glass beads, a longer mouthpiece is clearly the better choice.

Why glass makes the difference

Glass is the material of choice in the vapor path: It is flavor-neutral, releases nothing even at high temperatures, and does not absorb flavors that it could release later. The flavor that reaches you therefore comes exclusively from your material.

With the Angus Enhanced, this fits the overall concept: The halogen lamp, ruby beads, and isolated air path are all designed to transport the material's natural flavor without distortion. A glass mouthpiece consistently completes this approach.

Replacement and spare piece

The Angus Enhanced already includes three stems. This mouthpiece is therefore primarily a replacement in case one breaks – always a possibility with glass, especially when traveling.

A second piece of the same length is also useful: One remains in use while the other is soaked in alcohol and dries. This way, no session has to wait just because the device is being cleaned.
