But you also notice what it is designed for - short sessions, not a long evening on the sofa.

The FX Mini Ultra in practice: on the go and at home
The FX Mini Ultra is all about being easy to take along in everyday life. That is why here we focus less on specifications and more on how it performs in typical situations.
Our process for one filling
Where the FX Mini Ultra shines
- The shortest Wolkenkraft device, fits well in a trouser pocket
- Pre-fill capsules and take them with you in the Capsule Caddy
- The more scratch-resistant display handles life in a bag better
- As a secondary device alongside a desktop device or larger portable
- Smoother draw with a bubbler
- For long sessions, choose the Äris Ultra instead
- Its real strength
- Switch it on briefly, take a few draws, put it away
- Haptic feedback instead of looking at the display
Small details that make the difference
- The magnetic mouthpiece holder is the biggest everyday convenience boost.
- For multiple sessions a day, the 1600-mAh battery is the first thing to keep in mind - carrying a USB-C cable in your bag won't hurt.
- The low temperatures starting at 100 °C are more than just a specification: experimenting is especially worthwhile with aromatic herbs.
- Despite its short design, it is no lightweight - it feels solid and rather substantial.
Mistakes you should avoid
- Planning a session for 7 minutes - the timer ends at 5 minutes, so the temperature curve should be adjusted accordingly.
- Pressing too much material into the small chamber.
- Buying the FX Mini Ultra as your only device for long evenings - it is not built for that.
- Using concentrates: The Ultra is designed as a herb Vaporizer.
Heating system and materials: convection with titanium chamber
The FX Mini Ultra uses optimized convection technology: Hot air flows around the herbs instead of them resting continuously on a hot surface. This ensures even extraction and reduces the risk of individual areas of the filling getting too hot. The fact that true convection fits into a device of this size is the Ultra's real strength.

The filling chamber is made of titanium, and the air channel is completely isolated from the electronics. We explain in detail how the heating method affects flavor in the informative article Convection, Conduction, and Hybrid.
- Heating system: patented, optimized convection technology, titanium filling chamber, insulated air channel
- Temperature: 100–220 °C (212–428 °F), accurate to the degree, switchable between °C/°F · Heat-up time: approx. 25 sec
- Mouthpiece: magnetic slide-in holder, extendable glass mouthpiece with double glazing, gold-plated ring, blue LED
- Display: large OLED (more scratch-resistant than the predecessor) with target/actual temperature, timer, and battery level, haptic feedback
- Timer: accurate to the second from 3 to 5 minutes
- Battery: 1600 mAh, USB-C, 120-cm premium cable with data transfer
- Dimensions & weight: approx. 8.1 × 5.0 × 2.8 cm, approx. 141 g · Colors: midnight blue, wood finish
- Quality & warranty: Manufactured according to DIN ISO 13485, 5-year manufacturer's warranty including the battery
What's new in the FX Mini Ultra
The previous FX Mini already featured a titanium chamber and true convection. The Ultra addresses the areas that caused issues in everyday use - operation, charging, and temperature range:
- Starts at 100 °C instead of 160 °C - the delicate aromas at the beginning of a session are now accessible
- USB-C instead of Micro-USB, with a noticeably shorter charging time according to the manufacturer
- Magnetic slide-in mouthpiece holder for faster filling
- Timer accurate to the second from 3 to 5 minutes and a more scratch-resistant OLED display
- Capsule Caddy with two herb capsules included
Mouthpiece: magnetic and double-glazed
The mouthpiece base is attached and removed using a magnetic slide-in mechanism - no screwing, no jamming. Especially when filling it on the go, this is noticeably faster than conventional plug-in connections.
Important for flavor: The mouthpiece unit is glass-coated on the inside, and it also features an extendable glass mouthpiece that reaches the bottom of the unit. So, on its way to you, the vapor comes into contact with almost nothing but glass. A visual detail: A blue LED illuminates the glass mouthpiece.

Display and operation
The FX Mini Ultra is operated directly on the device, without an app. The large OLED display shows the set and actual temperature, timer, and battery level. The display material has been revised for the Ultra and is now more scratch-resistant - a useful detail for a device that lives in your pocket.

While it is heating up, a red light illuminates; once the temperature is reached, it changes to blue. There is also haptic feedback when switching it on and off. You can set the session duration to the exact second between 3 and 5 minutes, and switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit using a key combination.
The right temperature for the FX Mini Ultra
With its expanded range of 100 to 220 °C, it can meaningfully vaporize significantly more types of herbs than its predecessor. Our recommendation, based on our article The right Vaporizer temperature:
- 100–160 °C: when aroma matters more to you than vapor volume, and for getting to know new herbs
- 160–175 °C: light and flavor-focused
- 175–190 °C: the balanced everyday range
- 190–205 °C: stronger and denser
- 205–220 °C: extracts the remaining compounds from the material in the final draws
Battery, charging, and handling
The 1600 mAh battery is tailored to the compact format: it lasts for short sessions throughout the day, but with intensive use, you will need to charge it more often. On the plus side, the FX Mini Ultra uses USB-C and, according to Wolkenkraft, recharges up to 30% faster than its predecessor. A 120 cm premium cable is included.
At around 8.1 × 5.0 × 2.8 cm, it is the shortest Wolkenkraft device, but at approximately 141 g, it weighs about as much as the Äris Ultra. It reaches temperature in around 25 seconds. Wolkenkraft provides a five-year warranty, including the battery for the device.
Cleaning: done in no time
The double glazing has a pleasant side effect: glass does not absorb odors and is easier to clean than plastic. This keeps the flavor clear over time.
