These mouthpiece screens for the Wolkenkraft LIVE come in a box of three and sit between the mouthpiece base and retaining ring. They prevent plant material from reaching the mouthpiece unit when you draw.

LIVE mouthpiece screen: keeps particles out of the mouthpiece

Without a screen, loose herb remnants travel upward with the airflow and settle in the mouthpiece unit. This has a double impact: the flavor suffers because residue is reheated with every draw, and cleaning becomes much more time-consuming because the particles collect in hard-to-reach areas.

The screen catches them before that happens. It is therefore less a wear part than a protective component – it keeps clean the area that is hardest for you to reach when cleaning.

Three pieces: swap them instead of waiting

With three screens in the box, you are supplied for a long time. The real advantage, however, is being able to swap them: insert a fresh one and place the used one in alcohol instead of waiting for it to be cleaned and dried.

Use draw resistance as your guide instead of following a fixed interval – how quickly a screen clogs depends heavily on the grind size. Clean the used screens together in a small glass with alcohol; this is more convenient than cleaning them individually. When inserting a screen, make sure it lies flat and centered so that no extra air is drawn in around the edges.
