DynaVap Cap Armor – Stainless Steel Sleeve for More Mass on Your Captive Cap

The Cap Armor made of stainless steel is a precision-crafted sleeve that you click over your existing Captive Cap. It adds noticeably more mass and heat retention—without having to replace your usual cap with a different model. The result is longer heating cycles, smoother extractions, and more consistent temperature control.

An Upgrade That Keeps Your Cap

The Cap Armor was developed as a modular alternative to the Armored Cap. The difference is crucial: instead of buying a completely different cap and setting aside your familiar one, you simply upgrade the existing one. Click it on, done—and if you don’t need the extra mass at the moment, you can remove the sleeve again. We find this approach much more sensible than a complete replacement.

More Thermal Mass, Longer Cycles

The increase in thermal mass directly affects your vaping experience: the cap retains the absorbed heat longer, enabling longer heating cycles and better control over the extraction. Complete extractions are achievable in one to two cycles instead of having to reheat multiple times. Heating itself also becomes more even and easier.

No More Rotating Over the Flame

A detail that changes everyday use: thanks to the additional mass, the heat distributes so evenly that you no longer need to rotate your device with the torch while heating. Those who previously rotated carefully to avoid hotspots can simply stop—the sleeve takes care of the even distribution.

Fit Without Loss of Function

The sleeve securely snaps over the upper flared area of the Captive Cap. Two important things remain intact: the adjustability of the cap and the airflow. So you don’t lose any of your cap’s previous capabilities.

Important: Only for Captive Caps in Good Condition

The Cap Armor is intended exclusively for Captive Caps in good condition. Use with the following is explicitly not recommended:

• Caps that are not Captive Caps
• Dented caps
• PVD-coated caps
• Special edition caps with engraving

Please check your cap briefly before ordering—as the mentioned types may not fit properly due to the press-fit design.

Attaching and Removing

To attach, gently press the Captive Cap into the Cap Armor until you hear a click. It works best when the cap is on a mounted device.

To remove, keep the cap on the tip: hold the digger’s outer area with your thumb against the tip and gently wiggle the sleeve back and forth while pulling it off. This releases it without excessive force. Do not press the cap from above to separate it—this can cause dents.

Note on Impressions at the Flared Edge

Due to the press-fit design, small dents or impressions may appear on the upper flared area of the Captive Cap. This is normal and does not affect the function of either part. We mention this so you can correctly interpret such marks.

Our Practical Tip

Take a moment when first attaching and apply even pressure rather than force—the click tells you when it’s seated. And if you want to switch between sessions with and without extra mass, get used to the described removal technique right away; it protects your cap much better than pressing from above.
