Storz & Bickel Venty review: the Vaporizer with adjustable airflow
Share
Venty experience: why the airflow changes so much
Our practical impression: You have to use the Venty once to understand what adjustable airflow means. Fully open, it draws almost as easily as a desktop device; almost closed, the vapor becomes dense and intense. Then there’s the speed: It’s ready after around 20 seconds, and the flow meter ensures that performance doesn’t drop even with fast draws. You can feel the considerable power at work with every draw – though you can also feel it in the weight of your bag.
Bottom line: Who is the Storz & Bickel Venty worth it for?
- +Continuously adjustable airflow up to 20 l/min – a world first for a Vaporizer
- +Around 20 seconds of heating time, the fastest Storz & Bickel yet

The Venty in everyday use: our practical experience
The Venty is the device that benefits most from your personal settings. Here, we show you how to use it best in everyday life.
How a typical session works
Three everyday situations
- Jacket, bag, or backpack - it's too large for a trouser pocket
- Around 10 sessions per charge
- Prepare dosing capsules
- Wide-open airflow for long, relaxed draws
- Supercharger at the desk
- Wide open, almost like a desktop device
- Ready in around 20 seconds
- Short sessions with lower airflow
- Display shows temperature and battery
What stands out to us in everyday use
- You find your personal sweet spot for airflow after a few sessions - it's worth deliberately trying all the settings.
- High airflow and high temperature noticeably use more battery than conservative settings.
- Supercharge speed is only available with a suitable 15-V/3-A power adapter.
- Anyone coming from a Mighty+ or Crafty+ will first be surprised by how easy the draw is when fully open.
Typical beginner mistakes - and how to avoid them
- Never adjust the airflow and miss out on the most important feature.
- Start directly at the maximum temperature.
- Charge it with a weak phone charger and wonder why it takes so long to charge.
- Clean the cooling unit infrequently - with so much airflow, it gets clogged faster than you might think.
The centerpiece: continuously adjustable airflow
The small adjustment dial on the Venty is the real innovation. It lets you adjust the airflow continuously - according to Storz & Bickel, making it the world's first Vaporizer with this feature. Three notches serve as a guide: one notch for low, two for medium, and three for high airflow at the full 20 liters per minute. In between, you can find your personal sweet spot.

Why this matters: Draw resistance affects the vaping experience more than most people think. Fully open, the Venty feels airy and light; almost closed, it feels tight and intense. With other devices, you have to accept the setting specified by the manufacturer – here, you set it yourself. For comparison: Mighty+, Crafty+, and VEAZY each deliver up to 10 l/min.
Heater, flow meter, and cooling
The redesigned, patented mini heater combines convection and conduction and works significantly more efficiently than previous generations. The result is a heat-up time of around 20 seconds. To heat such a large amount of air, two permanently installed 18650 batteries deliver up to 130 watts at 16 amps – which is why the Venty does not falter even with the airflow fully open.
The flow meter thinks along
An invisible but noticeable detail: A flow meter measures the negative pressure as you inhale and dynamically adjusts the heating to your draw speed. Whether you draw slowly and deeply or briefly and firmly, the Venty adjusts accordingly. This eliminates the typical problem of a draw that is too fast overwhelming the heater.
Two-level cooling
A lot of hot air calls for good cooling. A double-walled housing keeps the cooling unit pleasantly cool despite the high performance, while the long vapor path provides additional cooling. The materials are food-safe and heat-resistant, and S&B uses medical-grade PEEK in critical areas. We explain more about the heating methods in the knowledge article Convection, Conduction, and Hybrid.

Operation, Booster, and S&B Web App
The Venty is operated using an LC display and buttons directly on the device. You can set the temperature precisely between 40 and 210 °C. Double-click to activate the Booster; another double-click activates the Superbooster - +15 °C each. This is practical toward the end of a filling, without changing the base setting.

Via Bluetooth, you connect the Venty to the S&B Web App. There, you can set the temperature, activate ECO charging mode to protect the batteries, view device data, and install software updates. The app is not necessary - the Venty works fully on the device itself.
Battery, charging, and handling
A full charge lasts for an average of around 10 sessions - more than any other portable S&B device. How far you get depends on the temperature, airflow, and session length: higher temperatures and a more open airflow use more energy.
Charging is via USB-C. With a power adapter that delivers 15 V at 3 A, the Supercharge function kicks in: around 80% in approximately 40 minutes. The Venty still charges with a weaker charger, just more slowly - the display will notify you.
Regarding the size, you should know this: At 252 g and 15.7 cm tall, the Venty is Storz & Bickel's largest portable device. It fits in a jacket or bag, but for your trouser pocket, the VEAZY is the better choice.

Venty vs Mighty+ and VEAZY
| Venty | Mighty+ | VEAZY | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Heating time | approx. 20 sec | approx. 60 sec | approx. 40 sec |
| Airflow | up to 20 l/min, adjustable | up to 10 l/min | 10 l/min |
| Temperature | 40–210 °C | 40–210 °C | 40–210 °C |
| Special feature | Flow meter, Web App | Pass-through mains operation, display | smallest S&B device |
| Weight | 252 g | 242 g | 134 g |
Venty or Mighty+? The Venty heats up faster, delivers twice the airflow, and has app connectivity. The Mighty+ stands out with pass-through mains operation and a lower price - a strong choice if the device mostly stays at home. You can find the detailed Mighty+ review here.
Venty or VEAZY? The VEAZY weighs almost half as much and is ideal for short solo sessions in your jacket pocket. The Venty doubles the airflow and halves the heating time. Read more about the VEAZY in our VEAZY article; find all direct comparisons in the Storz & Bickel Guide.
Cleaning and care
A practical tip: A second cooling unit used in rotation saves waiting time - one is being cleaned while the other is in the device.

- Venty Wear Parts Set: screens and seals in one package - the easiest way to freshen up the device.
- Venty Seal Ring Set: prevents air leaks when the rings become porous.

Frequently asked questions about the Storz & Bickel Venty
Is the Venty convection or conduction?
Both: The patented mini heater combines convection and conduction. The flow meter also dynamically adjusts the heating power to your draw.
How do I adjust the airflow on the Venty?
Using the adjustment wheel on the device, steplessly. One notch indicates low, two indicate medium, and three indicate high airflow at 20 l/min. Any position in between is possible.
What are Booster and Superbooster for?
Both increase the set temperature by +15 °C with a double click. This is useful toward the end of a filling without permanently changing the basic setting.
Do I need the Web App?
No. You can adjust the temperature, booster, and airflow directly on the device. You need the app for ECO charging mode, device data, and software updates.
Why is my Venty charging more slowly than specified?
You can only reach around 80% in 40 minutes with a power supply that delivers 15 V at 3 A, such as the Supercharger. It charges more slowly with weaker chargers.
How many sessions can I get per charge?
Around 10 on average. High temperatures and a wide-open airflow use more energy.
What warranty does the Venty have?
2 years, or 3 years with registration at Storz & Bickel. Registering directly after unpacking is worthwhile.
