TinyMight Cooling Unit Screen - Original 11 mm Mesh Screen

The screen for the cooling unit is the small but crucial mesh screen on the underside of the TinyMight cooling unit. It closes off the herb chamber at the top and keeps particles out of the vapor path. With an 11 mm diameter, it fits the original cooling unit for TinyMight and TinyMight 2.

The screen's function in the cooling unit

In the TinyMight, the cooling unit sits in the stem directly above your material. The screen at its tip separates the chamber from the air path: it lets vapor through while holding everything else back. If it becomes clogged, the draw becomes noticeably harder, and convection becomes less effective because less hot air flows through the material.

Clean or replace?

The screen is durable and reusable. Soaking it in isopropanol dissolves resin and residue. Eventually, however, the fine mesh becomes permanently clogged, or the screen bends when removed - in that case, a fresh screen is the quicker solution.

Second screen for Cooling Unit V2

The newer Cooling Unit V2 can optionally hold a second screen. If you grind more finely or want especially clean vapor, this provides additional filtration. This mesh screen is also the right replacement for that purpose.

How do I replace the screen?

Remove the cooled cooling unit from the stem, carefully press out the old screen, and insert the new one flush. Make sure it sits straight and is not bent.

Does the screen fit Cooling Unit V1 and V2?

Yes, the 11 mm mesh screen is designed for the original TinyMight cooling units. In the V2, you can additionally install a second screen.

Is the screen also included in the replacement parts set?

Yes, the TinyMight replacement parts set contains two of these screens along with O-rings and a basket screen. If you only need the screen, buying it individually is cheaper.

Clean the screen as soon as the draw becomes noticeably harder - not only once vapor stops flowing. Let it dry completely after the isopropanol soak before putting it back into the cooling unit.
