Why the “glass vapor path” is the key feature of Arizer

Almost all Arizer devices guide the vapor through a borosilicate glass tube (the “aroma tube” or glass stem). This means the vapor has very little contact with plastic or adhesives – the main reason Arizer is praised in many tests for its particularly clean, clear flavor. Another practical benefit: Glass is easy to clean (soak the stem in isopropyl alcohol), and you can even influence the draw feel through the stem length – a short stem produces a more direct draw, while a long one cools the vapor further. The Air SE, for example, comes with a 70 mm tube, while the Solo 2 MAX comes with a 110 mm one.

The design has another, often underestimated advantage: Because your material sits in the glass tube rather than in a fixed chamber, you can pre-fill several tubes and simply swap them on the go. That is exactly what the travel tubes included with the device and the matching pre-fill sets are for. The ArGo (pronounced “Ar-Go”) is Arizer's smallest device—at just 9.3 × 5.2 × 2.4 cm, it really fits in any pocket. Cleverly designed: the glass stem retracts into the housing, protecting it during transport and making the device robust. Unlike the Air SE, the ArGo offers precise temperature control (50–220 °C) via an OLED display and combines conduction + convection (hybrid). The replaceable 18650 battery lasts around 90 minutes and can simply be swapped on the go instead of being charged.

Arizer Solo 2 MAX: the enduring all-rounder for flavor

The Solo 2 MAX is not a pocket-sized device, but a powerful all-rounder for home and on the go. The Air Max is the top model in the Air range and, in our view, the “comfortable all-rounder” with one particular advantage: a replaceable 26650 battery. In everyday use, that means inserting a spare battery, swapping the empty one, and carrying on. This is invaluable for frequent users and when travelling. The temperature can be controlled precisely (50–220 °C) via the OLED display, and it charges via USB-C (including pass-through, around 90% in two hours). Battery life is up to 2¼ hours, and it heats up in under 60 seconds.

An honest technical detail: Arizer often advertises the Air series with “convection,” but technically the Air Max works predominantly conductively with a third-generation ceramic heater. The Arizer Go SRT is Arizer’s newest portable device and, at the same time, the one that breaks most strongly with the brand’s previous approach. Instead of individual glass tubes, you work with prefillable Go Shells here—small chambers that you prepare at home and simply swap on the go. If you have previously been annoyed by how fiddly refilling on the go can be, this is the answer.

Technically, the Go SRT uses a hybrid oven with a 75% convection to 25% conduction ratio and, according to the manufacturer, is “ready from cold to the first draw in seconds”—the fastest start in the entire Arizer lineup. Everything is controlled through its own SRT operating system with Session Toggle and three freely editable session profiles: you can change not only the temperature, but the entire character of the session at the press of a button. The large color display rotates automatically, charging is via USB-C PD, and you can continue vaping while charging.

Both run for up to three hours and charge via USB-C – the difference lies in speed and control. The Solo 3 is ready in 5–15 seconds instead of under 30 seconds, can be set as low as 40 °C, has true hybrid heating (80/20), an On-Demand mode for more than 100 individual draws, and XL tubes with double the capacity. The Solo 2 MAX costs significantly less and delivers the same clean glass taste – just without the session refinements. Arizer Extreme Q vs XQ2

The most important difference in everyday use is heat-up time: about 1 minute for the XQ2 versus around 5 minutes for the Extreme Q. In return, the Extreme Q reaches up to 260 °C, while the XQ2 goes “only” up to 220 °C – that is more than enough for herbs, while the wider range may be interesting for aromatherapy with other materials. The XQ2 also scores with its color display, programmable remote control, airflow monitoring, and two bowl chambers. The Extreme Q is the value-for-money winner, while the XQ2 is the more comfortable device.

Arizer V-Tower vs Extreme Q

The V-Tower is deliberately the stripped-down option: no balloon, no remote control, with a temperature range of 180–220 °C instead of 50–260 °C. In return, it is cheaper and comes with the better warranty package: a lifetime heating-element warranty plus 3 years on materials. If you know for sure that you will never need a balloon, this is a sensible way to save money. As soon as several people will be vaping together, even occasionally, there is no getting around the Extreme Q.

Arizer Go SRT vs Solo 3

Both are hybrid devices with color displays and USB-C PD. The Solo 3 uses 80% convection, classic glass tubes, and up to 3 hours of battery life. The Go SRT uses a 75/25 ratio and, above all, a different concept: prefillable Go Shells instead of individual tubes, plus the SRT operating system with Session Toggle. Conduction, convection, hybrid – what does this mean specifically for Arizer?

A quick explanation, because it really helps when choosing a device: Conduction means the herbs touch a hot surface – this heats up quickly and produces dense draws, but requires a little more attention when stirring. Convection means hot air flows through the herbs – this produces an especially clean, even flavor. Hybrid combines both.

In practical terms, this means that the Air SE and Solo 2 MAX use conduction (ceramic), while the Air Max also works predominantly through conduction. What this means for temperature: Arizer itself recommends 180–200 °C for flavor-focused, gentle draws and 200–220 °C for denser extraction for its portable devices. With conduction models, it is worth rotating or stirring the tube once in a while – with convection desktop devices, the airflow takes care of this automatically.
