Arizer Guide: Air SE, ArGo, Solo 2 MAX, Air Max, Solo 3 – and which tabletop vaporizer (V-Tower, Extreme Q, XQ2)?

Arizer comes from Canada and has been making devices for years based on a very clear principle: a vapor path made entirely of glass, honest craftsmanship and operation you master after two sessions. No app requirement, no gimmicks – just a clean, terpene-rich flavor and devices that last a long time. In this guide, we classify the portfolio by real use: which model is for whom, what it really can do, and where the everyday differences lie.
Our Arizer experience: With Arizer, the choice rarely comes down to "good or bad" – the basic quality is consistently high. It’s about format (pocket vs. all-rounder vs. tabletop), heating system (pure conduction vs. hybrid), and whether you want to vape solo on the go or relax at home (also great in a group).

Why the "glass vapor path" is the key point with Arizer

Almost all Arizer devices channel the vapor through a borosilicate glass tube (the "aroma tube" or glass stem). This means the vapor barely contacts plastic or adhesives – the main reason Arizer is praised in many tests for its especially clean, clear flavor. A practical side effect: glass is easy to clean (soak the stem in isopropyl alcohol), and you can even influence the draw feel by the stem length – a short stem draws more directly, a long one cools the vapor additionally.
Good to know: The portable Air and Solo devices mostly share the same accessories (glass stems, screens, water filter adapters). So if you buy a second Arizer device from this line later, you can reuse many parts.

1) On the go: from beginner to premium all-rounder

The main question here is: How small does it need to be and how much control do you want? We cover everything from affordable entry-level to the hybrid flagship.

Arizer Air SE: the honest entry with 5 temperature settings

The Air SE is our recommendation for an uncomplicated start into the Arizer world. Instead of menus, there are five fixed levels via a large button with color LEDs: Blue 180 °C, White 190 °C, Green 200 °C, Orange 205 °C, Red 210 °C. This is perfectly sufficient for everyday use and takes away beginners’ fear of "wrong settings." Inside is a fast-heating ceramic chamber and, of course, the typical Arizer glass stem. The battery (replaceable 18650) lasts about 80 minutes, charges via Micro-USB – and thanks to "Use While Charging," you can keep vaping while plugged in.

Air SE – five clear levels, replaceable battery, honest entry price.
For whom: Beginners and budget-conscious users who prioritize good flavor and simple operation over extras. Micro-USB instead of USB-C is the conscious compromise for the price.

Arizer ArGo: the most compact – hybrid power in pocket size

The ArGo (pronounced "Ar-Go") is Arizer’s smallest device – at only 9.3 × 5.2 × 2.4 cm it really fits in any pocket. Cleverly designed: the glass stem retracts into the housing, is protected during transport, and makes the device robust. Unlike the Air SE, the ArGo offers precise temperature control (50–220 °C) via OLED display and combines conduction + convection (hybrid). The replaceable 18650 battery lasts about 90 minutes – and can be easily swapped on the go instead of charging.

For whom: Everyone who values discretion and size most but still wants precise control and hybrid flavor. The shorter battery life is the price for the mini format – the replaceable battery compensates well.

Arizer Solo 2 MAX: the enduring flavor all-rounder

The Solo 2 MAX is not a pocket device but a powerful all-rounder for home and on the go. Its biggest advantage: up to 3 hours of battery life – you hardly think about charging, and use while charging is possible. The character is deliberately flavor-focused rather than "fast big clouds": borosilicate glass vapor path, insulated air path, and a ceramic heater that extracts smoothly and evenly. Favorite settings can be saved via the OLED display. Charging is modern via USB-C.

For whom: users who prioritize flavor and endurance over an ultra-compact size. If you want a quiet, reliable daily driver with long runtime, this is the perfect choice.

Arizer Air Max: the Air series at maximum – replaceable battery & USB-C

The Air Max is the top model of the Air series and in our opinion the “comfortable all-rounder” with the special plus: a replaceable 26650 battery. In everyday use – just plug in a spare battery, swap the empty one, and keep going. This is invaluable for heavy users and on the go. Temperature is precisely adjustable (50–220 °C) via OLED, charging is via USB-C (also pass-through). Runtime about 2.5 hours, heats up in about 60–90 seconds.

An honest technical detail: Arizer often markets the Air series as “convection,” but technically the Air Max mainly works conductively with a 3rd generation ceramic heater. For you, that means fast heat-up and strong, dense draws – if you’re looking for purely convection behavior, you should know this.

For whom: heavy users and commuters who never want to run out of power (replaceable battery) and appreciate precise control plus USB-C.
Quick comparison: Solo 2 MAX vs. Air Max
  • Solo 2 MAX: longest runtime (up to 3 hours), very flavor-focused, fixed battery – perfect as a reliable all-rounder for home and mobile use.
  • Air Max: replaceable battery + more compact Air design – ideal if you want to swap batteries on the go instead of charging.

Arizer Solo 3 (V2.0): the portable flagship – hybrid, fast, session modes

The Solo 3 Version 2.0 is Arizer's current premium portable vaporizer. It features a true hybrid heating system with ~80% convection / 20% conduction for the first time – delivering the clear, consistent convection flavor combined with the heat reserve of conduction. It heats up in about 15 seconds, the temperature range spans from 40 to 220 °C, and you can adjust the session character with three session modes (Solo, Dynamic, Steady). Up to 3 hours of battery life, USB-C fast charging (fully charged in under 2 hours), and pass-through complete the package. Accessories are compatible with Air Max & Solo II MAX.

For whom: Those who want the best from the portable Arizer world – short heat-up time, hybrid flavor, long battery life, and modern session control. The premium portable for demanding users.

And the Arizer Go SRT?

The Go SRT is Arizer’s newest, very dynamic portable device with its own SRT operating system, the V-Scale (power, airflow, and settings bundled into four intensity levels), and three customizable session profiles – designed for speed and quick response. Important to know: The current offer refers to a replacement device under the EU manufacturer’s warranty, so it is not a regular standard sale. If you are interested in the device, check the product page carefully or contact us briefly beforehand.

2) At home: the desktop vaporizers (V-Tower, Extreme Q, XQ2)

Arizer’s desktop range is essentially a family: All three run on mains power, use a glass vapor path, and share much of the same accessories (bowls, hoses, glass cylinders). The difference lies in the features – from “hose only” to “balloon + hose + remote control.” Rule of thumb: V-Tower = reduced & affordable, Extreme Q = the versatile classic, XQ2 = the modernized successor.

Arizer V-Tower: the reduced entry (hose only)

The V-Tower is the simplified version of the Extreme Q: no balloon, no remote control, but cheaper and more straightforward. Those who mainly want to vape via the hose get exactly that – with digital temperature control from 50–260 °C, a sturdy double-walled stainless steel housing, a 360° rotatable attachment (no twisted hose), and a timer shutoff (2–4 hours). A potpourri attachment for room aroma is included.

V-Tower – pure hose setup, robust and the most affordable desktop Arizer.
For whom: Beginners to stationary vaping who enjoy solo sessions via the hose and can do without balloon/remote control.

Arizer Extreme Q: the versatile classic (balloon + hose)

The Extreme Q is the proven all-rounder: a true dual system with balloon for relaxed sharing and hose for direct enjoyment. A quiet fan automatically fills the balloons, temperature is digitally adjustable from 50–260 °C, and a remote control is included – you control temperature and fan from the sofa. Housing made of brushed stainless steel, ceramic heater for consistent long sessions. The only “character trait”: with about 5 minutes heating time, it takes more time than the XQ2.

For whom: Those who want both at home – sometimes balloon for group sessions, sometimes hose solo – and don’t mind a bit of patience with heating time. Very strong value for money.

Arizer XQ2: the modernized successor (faster, smarter)

The XQ2 is the direct successor to the Extreme Q and brings its strengths up to date: balloon + hose, digital display, remote control, three fan levels, and precise temperature control (50–260 °C). In everyday use, the shorter heating time (about 1 minute) is especially noticeable, along with an optimized airflow path and an LED status ring (blue = heating, green = ready). If you want the Extreme Q comfort but more modern and faster, the XQ2 is the logical choice.

XQ2 – balloon + hose, ~1 min heating time, LED status ring. The most modern tabletop Arizer.
For whom: Anyone who wants the full tabletop experience (balloon + hose + remote control) but values fast heating and modern handling.
Quick decision: which Arizer tabletop vaporizer?
  • Hose only, small budget → V-Tower
  • Balloon + hose, best value for money, patience with heating up is okay → Extreme Q
  • Balloon + hose, but modern & fast → XQ2

Conduction, Convection, Hybrid – what does that specifically mean for Arizer?

Briefly explained, because it really helps when choosing a device: Conduction means the herbs touch a hot surface – this heats up quickly and delivers dense hits but requires a bit more attention when stirring. Convection means hot air flows through the herbs – this gives a particularly clean, even flavor. Hybrid combines both.
With Arizer, this practically means: Air SE and Solo 2 MAX are conductive (ceramic), the Air Max also works mostly conductive. ArGo and the flagship Solo 3 are hybrid – the Solo 3 with a clear convection focus. The tabletop devices (V-Tower, Extreme Q, XQ2) are convection-based.
