Puffco Proxy Core Kit – glass-free concentrate Vaporizer for your pocket

The Puffco Proxy Core Kit is the glass-free version of the Puffco Proxy: the same Bluetooth-enabled base with a 3D chamber, but instead of a glass pipe, it has a core cup made of anodized aluminum topped with a silicone mouthpiece. This makes for a compact Vaporizer for concentrates that fits in your pocket and can't break. A glass attachment is not included – add one separately if you want water cooling.

Aluminum cup instead of glass pipe

On the classic Proxy, a glass pipe serves as the attachment; on the Core Kit, that role is taken by the Core Cup. It is made of anodized aluminum: anodizing converts the surface into a hard oxide layer that resists scratches and wear better than bare metal. The silicone mouthpiece gives way when knocked instead of shattering. In practice, that means your jacket pocket and backpack are no longer a risk, and you don't have to wrap glass in cloth before heading out.

Short airpath, powerful draw

Puffco calls the principle “Impact Airpath”: Vapor travels just a short, direct route from the chamber outlet to your lips. This makes it denser and more intense than vapor passing through a glass attachment, where it expands and cools. The setup also includes three ceramic terp pearls, which roll around the chamber as you draw and distribute the concentrate over the heated surfaces. This ensures the load is heated more evenly, leaving less unused on the base at the end.

The base and walls both heat

At its heart is the patented 3D Chamber, which delivers heat not only from the base but also through the side walls. A larger heated surface means the concentrate vaporizes faster and more evenly, instead of burning in the middle and staying behind around the edges. Puffco therefore expressly recommends placing the material against the chamber walls rather than on the base. Real-time temperature control measures the temperature during each draw and heats it back up as soon as the airflow causes it to drop.

Four heat settings, Boost with a double-click

A single click switches between four heat settings, shown in color by the light bar - from Blue at the lowest to White at the highest setting. Double-click to start heating; the light pulses, and once the temperature is reached, the device flashes and vibrates three times. Another double-click after heating activates Boost Mode, which extends the session and increases the heat. Puffco recommends not heating more than four times in a row.

Puffco Connect for custom profiles

You connect the Core Kit via Bluetooth to the Puffco Connect App. There, you can set the temperature and duration for the four profiles, adjust the Boost, and customize the light bar. To pair, hold the button for about six seconds until the device lights up blue; on iPhone, Puffco recommends using the Path Browser. The app is optional: if you use the factory profiles, you can operate everything directly with the button, and the light bar can also be dimmed without the app by clicking four times.

About 15 dabs, two hours to charge

Depending on the selected setting, one battery charge provides about 15 dabs, according to Puffco. It charges via USB-C, and a full charging cycle takes around two hours. Triple-click to see the battery level as a percentage, and as long as there is some charge left, you can keep using the device while it's plugged in. According to the manufacturer, the Proxy doesn't offer wireless charging or a 3DXL Chamber—those features are reserved for the Peak Pro.

Core Kit or Proxy with glass?

The Base, Chamber, and app are the same on the Core Kit and the Proxy with glass pipe; the only difference is the attachment. According to Puffco, all Proxy glass attachments fit all Proxy Bases. So you can start with the Core Kit and later add the Puffco New Proxy Bub Water Filter for more relaxed sessions at home, which cools the vapor with water. Heavy users may also benefit from a second Puffco New Proxy 3D Chamber, so one chamber can cool down and be cleaned while the other is in use.

Load the concentrate while the chamber is cold and place it against the chamber walls, not on the bottom - and don't overfill it to prevent anything from flowing into the base. Wipe the chamber after your session while it's still warm, using gentle circular motions without applying pressure. Keep the device upright while drawing and inhale slowly to get the most vapor from each load.
