Dr. Dabber SwitchGO – Portable Concentrate Vaporizer with Quartz Insert

The Dr. Dabber SwitchGO brings the technology of the large Switch 2 into a housing that is 54% smaller. As a portable Vaporizer for concentrates, it works with a quartz insert and completely without an atomizer. It also features direct temperature control, app connectivity, and an illuminated water chamber.

Quartz Instead of Atomizer

This is the key difference from many other devices of this kind: The SwitchGO uses a pure quartz insert and does without a replaceable Atomizer. This eliminates the component that most often fails in e-rigs and needs regular replacement. For you, this means less maintenance, no dependency on spare parts, and a clean taste because quartz doesn’t impart anything to the vapor.

Omni-Heat: Sidewall and Base

Heating is applied not only to the base but also to the sidewall via Omni-Heat. This means the material is evenly heated from multiple sides instead of just from below. The result is more even vaporization without cold spots at the edges.

Five Dynamic Heating Modes

The Dynamic Heating Modes offer different temperature profiles instead of just a fixed target temperature: Ascent (rising), Descent (falling), Steady (constant), Hill (rising then falling), and Valley (falling then rising). Each profile emphasizes different aspects – from flavor-focused to strong. This curve control is what sets the SwitchGO apart from devices that only maintain one temperature.

Custom Heating Curves via the App

With the Dr. Dabber App, you can not only adjust the modes but also create custom heating curves and save them as profiles. You can also select the device’s light themes there. If you prefer simplicity, just use the direct temperature control on the device – the app is an extension, not a requirement.

Temperature Range and Heat-Up Time

The range spans from about 120 to 345 °C (250–650 °F), covering everything from low, flavor-focused temperatures to strong hits. The device heats up in 5 to 20 seconds, depending on your target temperature.

Illuminated Water Chamber

In addition to the well-known arc from Dr. Dabber, the SwitchGO features an illuminated water chamber. It not only looks good but serves a purpose: it shows the device status directly on the side, so you don’t have to look for the display. The water filtration also cools the vapor.

Battery, Charging, and Size

The battery lasts for up to 20 heating cycles per charge, and a full charge takes 45 to 60 minutes via USB-C. With about 15.2 cm height, 8.4 cm width, and approximately 363 g, the SwitchGO remains portable – not pocket-sized, but an e-rig you can actually take with you instead of just leaving it at home.

Our practical tip

Start at the lower temperatures and work your way up – with concentrates, even a small change makes a big difference. Change the water in the chamber regularly, or the flavor will degrade faster than you think. And once you’re familiar with the five heating modes, it’s worth using the app: a custom curve usually matches your taste more precisely than a preset.
